You Must Vote, As We Say

Wow! Commissioner Clara Andriola became a Republican for less than 24-hours on July 9, 2024. On Wednesday, July 10th Andriola asked for an Agenda Item to be placed back on the July 16, 2024, Washoe County Board of Commission Agenda, guess she’s had a change of heart, and now wants to certify the two recounts as the Democratic Attorney General and Secretary of State want her to. Andriola voted on July 9, 2024 not to certify. Guess a girl can change her mind when being threatened with criminal actions and dire consequences. It is Agenda Item #22 on Tuesday.

The Nevada Secretary of State filed an emergency petition with the Nevada Supreme Court to compel the board of county commissioners to act. Since this is on the Washoe County Board of County Commission Agenda we’re fairly certain they will act on July 16, 2024, but should they, and when they do does it make them elected officers or merely individuals who have been threatened to vote the “right way,” you know, the way County Manger Eric Brown needs them to.

Forget about election deniers and step outside the lines and look at the big picture. To get everyone to quiet down why not just do a hand count, heck we’re tired of this, and want it to go away. Pick a race and hand count it and prove to all the Washoe County residents, the results are the same, as Washoe County’s Manager Eric Brown keeps claiming they will be.  Why fight hand counts like we’re in a MMA arena?

If the voter rolls are clean the hand count will be perfection, with a vote off here or there, but the errors will be small, maybe 10-20 votes one way or the other. Perfectly acceptable.

Can Andriola, Clark, and Herman be criminally prosecuted if they vote no on July 16th? In the documents we have posted there is the threat of “grave consequences loom” - so does that mean the Secretary of State can trump a Washoe County Commissioner. Will these three Washoe County Commissioners have to vote as the Secretary of State wishes in order to avoid prosecution? And if so, why even have a certification of the vote? If they are ‘charged’ criminally will the Washoe County District Attorney defend them. So many questions, that residents should be asking, don’t let government take your rights away.
