Parting the Red Sea at Washoe County
Picon Googled the Parting of the Red Sea and was served up information from Wikipedia:
The origin myth of The Exodus in the Hebrew Bible; “Moses holds out his staff and God parts the waters of the Yam Suph, which is traditionally presumed to be the Red Sea, although other interpretations have arisen. With the water dispersed, the Israelites were able to walk on dry ground and cross the sea, followed by the Egyptian army. Once the Israelites have safely crossed, Moses drops his staff, closing the sea, and drowning the pursuing Egyptians.”
Our question did Commissioner Clara Andriola part the Red Sea and let her Republican base cross and then close the sea and leave Commissioner Alexis Hill struggling to find a pair of floaties.
Picon feels that seems to have happened today at the Washoe County Board of County Commissioners meeting when Commissioner Clara Andriola voted with Commissioners Mike Clark and Jeanne Herman to not certify the recount.
You think we’re kidding right? We’re not.
Is this just a onetime event, who knows, stay tuned there is another commission meeting next Tuesday, July 17th.
After Andriola voted. the man, the myth, the legend, Robert Beadles spoke during the final public comment when he thanked Commissioner Herman and Clark for their votes, and then said, on the record, “Thank you Commissioner Andriola, I never thought those words would come out of my mouth, but thank you, appreciate it.”
Why did Andriola vote “no” with Clark and Herman to deny the Declaration of Canvass of Recount Vote?
Simple, her name is Mrs. Briana Foroszowsky and she lives in Sparks in District 4. Mrs. Foroszowsky spoke during public comment about the Election Integrity Violation she has filed with the Nevada Secretary of State back on May 30, 2024.
Mrs. Foroszowsky reminded Commissioner Andriola of when she and Sparks City Councilmember Charlene Bybee knocked on her door, obviously she is a registered Republican, to ask for her vote for Andriola. She had told them all about the Integrity Violation she had filed. We’re going to let our readers decide on this complaint. In reading this we think Mrs. Foroszowky is well within her rights to question the Washoe County Registrar of Voters as to what occurred in the Ballot Tabulation Room on May 28, 2024, and the Nevada Secretary of State should be taking it seriously.
It was entertaining to watch the realization wash over Commissioner Andriola’s face. We’d enjoy having been a fly on the wall when Mrs. Foroszowsky explained her complaint to Andriola and Bybee while at her door. What do you want to bet, Andriola said she’d look into it, and Briana never heard from Andriola again.
We’ve asked for public records from Washoe County, DA Kandaras will more than likely put us off until December 2024, as she has on another record request, but hey, we asked, if there is any communication with Mrs. Foroszowsky.
Or, our publisher ponders, does Andriola now need to become a Republican again. After all Governor Joe Lombardo has a race in 2026 and has to earn his way back into the good graces of voters of a party he split down the middle in District 4.
Now that Andriola is the Republican candidate is she going to give Commission Chair Alexis Hill the boot when it comes to supporting everything Hill wants. After all folks it would be way, way better for Lombardo to have Republican candidate former commissioner Marsha Berkbigler on the Commission when he runs in 2026 than the very Democratic Commissioner Hill. Think of all those lovely high dollar donors in Incline Village and Crystal Bay.
The Washoe County Commission meetings look like they will be even more interesting.
