Commissioner Andriola Can You Pass the Sodium Pentothal?

Picon ponders if Governor Joe Lombardo put any time/research into his decision to appoint Clara Andriola as the Washoe County Commissioner in District 4. His choice is blowing-up the Republican party in Washoe County and shouldn’t he be thinking about his re-election in 2026. Or is Joe one and done? Might that explain his “pulling his party apart” commissioner appointment choice of Andriola, he just didn’t care. Or was he doing a favor for a contributor? Or a City Councilmember in Sparks?
There are multiple Republican’s running against Andriola in the 2024 primary and they have been turning on one another. “Eye on the prize” candidates your target should be Appointed Commissioner Andriola, not one another.
What is causing this divide? It seems the very people who should all be supporting one another, patting each other on the back, saying “best candidate wins” are instead spanking one another on the butt. Now an individual has filed a complaint. Wouldn’t it have been easier to pick-up the phone and say, “you might have messed up.” Ms. Reva Crump wants to make this public, so let’s help her out.
Reva Crump has filed an Election Integrity Violation Report against District 4 candidate Mark Lawson with the Secretary of State. Picon has heard Ms. Crump speak during public comment at Washoe County Commission Meetings, self-nominated for Library Trustee, and has ties to Washoe County Republican Party Chair and Central Committee Chair Bruce Parks.
Our suggestion, when you see Chair Parks inquire of him when he lost control of his party and shouldn’t he be thinking about stepping aside. The Washoe County Republicans need a path forward for the chair to make the Washoe County Republicans whole again.
Our other comment to all the splintered Republicans at war with one another in District 4. You might want to lay down your weapons for a few minutes and run the numbers in District 4. The lay of the land in the district is different from the kingdom former Commissioner Vaughn Hartung built. Republicans are not paying attention to the influx of residents who moved into District 4 during the pandemic and how many of them are Nonpartisan. We urge you to visit the Washoe County Registrar of Voters and get one of the team to help you run numbers, as Picon has done, and while a Democrat would have an uphill battle a Nonpartisan has a VERY good chance of winning, and they only need to pull in some of the Democratic vote to do it. Heads up Republicans, you’ve got two Nonpartisans in the general election.
Are the Democrats being way smarter than the Republican and allowing the candidates to ‘draw blood’ and all but destroy each other so a Nonpartisan will walk into that commission seat. We don’t know but the Republicans might want to borrow some of Appointed Commissioner Clara Andriola’s sodium pentothal and see if they can get the truth out of someone, anyone.
