Assembly-person, Dis-assembly Building: Lawmaker's Non-Conforming Rental

Assemblymember Erica Roth’s rental description has been removed from Zillow. Was it something we wrote?

Picon's readers just keep sending us tidbits about Assemblymember Erica Roth.

They pointed out to us after we published an article about Roth's non-conforming that the duplex description of her rental was removed from Zillow. The description was published in our story.

We had another reader send us a Nextdoor post where Roth was looking for a handyman (or handywoman, or handyperson we would assume) and they questioned if Roth made sure the individual was licensed and bonded since she didn't request this in the post.

We left the handyman contact info because everyone needs a good one.

Transparency is an interesting animal and it is what residents value and yearn for. We are not attempting to call Assemblymember Roth out but want to highlight the growing importance of transparency from our government officials.

As a note we know there are other elected officials who own rentals and have not always been perfect landlords we are investigating.

Roth’s NextDoor post.
