A Hoax or Not?

It is 10:47PM as we post this and frankly, there is not an outlet where we can verify if this information is factual or not.

We're going to go with post simply because the Washoe County, Nevada - Government Registrar of Voters is one of the most important positions within the county, and due to a call we received earlier.

Our elections are six weeks away.

An individual called us today who has been trying to purchase a city council ward list from the ROV's office so an candidate can mail - they have been trying to gain access to this list for six weeks, based on what they told us we were planning to start to submit public records requests tomorrow.

Is there something amiss in the ROV's office that has nothing to do with the woman leading it but instead other county staff. We find the timing of this text extremely questionable.

We also ponder if this has been leaked to us purposefully - it is something to ponder to embarrass the ROV.

If this is a hoax we will happily apologize to all. Sometimes you need to lead with your gut and that's what we are doing tonight.
